Glasgow weather: Heavy rain warning issued for areas around Glasgow tomorrow

The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for heavy rainfall.

The alert warns of potential flooding and travel disruption due to surface water across East Renfrewshire, Renfrewshire and West Dunbartonshire.

Rainfall of between 40-50mm is "widely expected" within the warning area, meteorologists said.

It is set to come into force at 2am tomorrow morning and will remain in place until midnight.

The forecast reads: "Occasional rain, persistent and heavy at times across Argyll, Loch Lomond, Arran and southernmost Ayrshire, and more patchy east of Glasgow, though heavier in evening with a maximum temperature of 13 °C."

From Thursday, it's set to stay "unsettled, windy and mild" with occasional spells of rain, and some brighter showery weather in between.
