Glasgow weather: Met Office says Scotland set for 'clammy' week amid highs of 21C

Weather experts for Glasgow have said that the city is set to become 'clammy' this week.

It comes as the forecast is set to see warm and humid conditions alongside spells of heavy rain.

At present, the BBC and Met Office say tomorrow (August 3) is set for highs of 18C whilst highs of 21C is expected just a few days later on Monday (August 8).

Whilst much of this week is set for dry conditions, there will be period of heavy showers. This is set to happen tomorrow with much of it coming down between 9am until 11am.

More rain is then expected the next day (August 4) around 1pm as well as the same time on August 5. According to Met Office meteorologist Rachel Ayers, "the next couple of days will see unsettled weather for parts of the UK, particularly in the north and west where there will be outbreaks of rain that could be heavy at times, and it will also be windy across the north, particularly on Tuesday.

“In the south, it remains generally dry though there is a chance of some rain on Wednesday though this is unlikely to bring much rainfall to the far south coast and South East. It will be very warm to hot and humid over the next couple of days across the South East during the day and overnight, though from Thursday it will be more widely cooler and fresher for a couple of days.”
