Glasgow weather - Met Office issues two more separate warnings for thunderstorms and rain

will be remembered as the one with all the weather warnings.

Well, it should be, given the fact that two more separate alerts have just been issued by the Met Office, as another remains in place for today.

We reported earlier that is predicting a "brief period of respite" tomorrow, with sunshine and bright conditions forecast.

But now it seems that break from the elements will be shorter lived than we first thought, as two more separate yellow alerts have just been issued, this time for Friday and Saturday.

On Friday, , and it's set to come into force from midnight on August 9 and last until 12am on Saturday (August 10) when it becomes a yellow alert for thunderstorms.

So that means, on Friday we're told to prepare for a "band of rain followed by heavy showers or thunderstorms" and the disruption that comes with it, and on Saturday we're once again told to expect potential "slow-moving heavy, thundery showers" which "may produce some torrential downpours which could cause disruption to travel and flooding".

for the weekend reads: "Cloudy with outbreaks of rain on Friday, heavy at times. Brighter weather following on Saturday with scattered showers, again some heavy. Still some rain on Sunday turning drier later."

No weather warnings so far for Sunday, you'll all be pleased to hear!  But that could all change by the end of the day...
