Glasgow weather - Met Office forecast further thunderstorms

Glasgow is braced to experience thunderstorms according to forecasts for the week ahead.

Both the Met Office and BBC predict our city will face thunder and lightning on Wednesday afternoon, with the Met Office suggesting a 60 per cent chance of thunderstorms, from 1pm until 4pm.

Meanwhile, the BBC are forecasting possible thunderstorms throughout Wednesday afternoon into evening and also on Thursday night.

However, as it stands, there are no Met Office weather warnings in place.

The chance of thunder and lightning comes as a result of a fairly warm week in Glasgow, with the maximum temperature expected to exceed 20C.

However, with the heat, there will be plenty of rain and cloud as we enter the end of July and into August.

Mixed weather is expected throughout the next seven days, however the forecast is for a dry, albeit cloudy, Friday and Saturday, before a wet Sunday.
