Glasgow weather forecast: Thunderstorm weather warning issued for today

The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for thunderstorms and potential flooding today.

The alert is in place between noon and 9pm and reads: “Heavy showers and thunderstorms may cause some travel disruption and flooding in places during Thursday afternoon and evening.”

The storm looks set to hit Glasgow around noon follow a rainy morning according to the latest forecast.

But it's not all bad – warm sunny spells are set to develop later in the evening with temperatures of 22C.
