Glasgow weather: forecast predicts temperatures of 27C on Tuesday after weather warning for rain

In case you haven't seen the forecasts, this week's weather is looking pretty dreich.

We've got everything from yellow weather warnings for heavy rain to muggy temperatures to even the potential for thunderstorms on the table.

The Met Office has warned that both today and tomorrow are due to look particularly wet and miserable - with flooding and travel disruptionsexpected.

However, there is a mid-week oasis in the desert for any of you that may not work a Monday to Friday nine to five.

This Tuesday's forecast has predicted temperatures as high as 27C, with the weather dry, bright and sunny.

Don't get too used to it, though. By Wednesday, the rain will have returned with a vengeance and will continue, on and off, until the weekend.

A statement from the Met Office reads: "Dry, bright on Tuesday. Cloudier at times on Wednesday and Thursday with the chance of some thundery showers. Feeling very warm and humid."

So if you've got a wee day off on Tuesday, make sure to make the most of it, before the rain returns!
