Glasgow is set to be hit by strong winds this week, with weather warnings in place across Scotland.
Although not directly affected by the warnings, which are for much of the west coast of the country and from Fife and Edinburgh south towards north east England, Glaswegians could still be in for a torrid time weather wise.
On Tuesday, we could see gusts of over 50mph in our city, while there will be plenty of heavy rain at the start of the week.
Rain is expected to fall on Glasgow for the majority of Monday, while gusts of over 40mph will hit, predict the Met Office.
This will intensify the following day with further heavy rain and strong gusts of over 50mph.
Wednesday will remain similarly wet, albeit with lighter showers, and the wind strength will ease to around 30mph at its peak.
After a spell of rain on Thursday morning, conditions will allow for some rare dry weather as the wind dies down.
However, on Friday moving into Saturday, the wind will pick up once more, with a wet and miserable weekend of weather predicted.
Temperatures throughout the week will get as high as 13C on Tuesday and as low as 2C overnight on Thursday.
