Glasgow weather forecast for Christmas Day and Boxing Day

Our hopes of a White Christmas have once again been dashed – but it wouldn't be 2020 without a wee bit of disappointment, right?

Weather-wise, today is set to be rather dull – cloudy, with a moderate breeze and a chance of light rain and a maximum temperature of around 7C.

This is the calm before the literal storm, however: Storm Bella is set to batter the west of Scotland on Boxing Day with strong winds and heavy rain.

The Met Office has issued a warning for heavy rain and flooding for West Dunbartonshire, heading north along the west coast of Scotland. This could result in localised flooding of roads and hazardous driving conditions.

The alert will be in place from 9am tomorrow until midnight.

But look on the bright side – the weather is another excuse to stay inside, have a mulled wine or two and have a festive film marathon. Not that we need an excuse...

Find out more about Storm Bella on the Met Office website.
