Glasgow weather for week ahead as more heavy rain forecast

Heavy rain is set to fall on Glasgow once more this week as the city begins to welcome the autumn months.

However, forecasters say there will also be dry, sunny spells throughout the next seven days, although temperatures aren't expected to top 17C.

Monday and Tuesday are set to be rain-free, but torrential downpours are due for most of Wednesday - as it stands, there is no Met Office weather warning or SEPA flood alert in place.

There's predicted to be showers on Thursday morning too, before the sun peeks through the clouds later in the day. On Friday, the weather is expected to be mixed, with both rain and sunshine as we approach the weekend.

By then, things are due to cool down, with overnight temperatures falling to as low as 8C.
