Glasgow weather for week ahead as dry spells set to bring chilly temperatures

Storm Lorenzo may be set to batter Britain, according to some reports. However, thankfully - as it stands - Glasgow will not be caught in its wake, so say the Met Office.

Many of you will be enjoying the luxury of a day off tomorrow on account of the September weekend holiday, and the good news is it's set to be a relatively dry and sunny week - weather conditions we are likely to experience throughout the week.

Forecasters in fact predict very little rain in Glasgow this week - apart from the odd overnight shower - with particularly sunny days on both Tuesday and Wednesday.

However, with the dry weather - and as we enter October and the heart of autumn - temperatures are expected to take a bit of a dip.

We're set for a cool, crisp week at the beginning of October (Jana Ferkova/Met Office)

Although we could experience highs of 15C and 16C on Friday and Saturday, at the opposite end of the scale, it could be as cool as 5C on both Tuesday and Wednesday once the sun goes down.

Therefore, it's a good week to get out and about and enjoy our beautiful city - just make sure you wrap up warm if you choose to do so.
