Glasgow weather: Exact time temperatures to hit over 20 degrees this week

It's been a bit of a wash out this past month, but luckily better weather is on its way.

Temperatures are going to reach up to 24 degrees and will even feel a balmy 25 degrees at its height.

And while the close of the week will get slightly cooler, we aren't set to be nearing the rainy conditions we've seen of late by the end of this week.

According to the Met Office, today will be warm with light winds, and it'll mostly be staying dry with some bright or sunny spells. There is the chance of the odd light afternoon shower across the hills and some coastal cloud persisting around the Islands.

By 4pm it will reach 22 degrees, but will feel about 23 degrees.

Tuesday will be dry and warm with some spells of sunshine. Some overnight low cloud cloud may linger around the coasts, but it'll be mostly clearing later.

By 4pm again it will be 24 degrees - so get your suncream out.

Wednesday will be warm and sunny but the haar will never far from the far west coast on Wednesday. Cloudier on Thursday before fresher, clearer conditions on Friday. By 4pm it will be 24 degrees, but will feel like 25 degrees.

Although things will cool after this peak, it will be fresher and still balmy. Thursday and Friday will reach highs of 20 degrees, although this could change as we get a more accurate reading closer to the days.

The last week in August and into September is likely to be dominated by high pressure, which will bring variable amounts of cloud, sunny spells, a few light showers and mainly light winds but some fog patches overnight, which clear during early morning.

Next week will see breezier conditions towards the edge of the high pressure in the far south, where it may feel cooler. Temperatures are likely to be rather warm in the west but near average and cool in the east below any persistent cloud.
