Glasgow weather: Exact time sun will come out on cloudy Friday

Thursday night looks to be a wet one in Glasgow, with BBC Weather predicting intermittent "light rain showers".

The forecaster states that it will "remain overcast, with showery outbreaks of rain persisting for the first part of the night".

By around 3am, the wet weather will have subsided, with "the bulk of the rain [moving] to the east".

Alongside the bursts of rain, it will be a cold night in the city — with temperatures hitting lows of 2 degrees Celsius in the early hours of Friday morning.

By 7am, things will begin to warm up and as the sun rises it will be a clear and bright morning in Glasgow.

Between 8am and 10am, BBC Weather expects the sun to be out in full force with clear skies.

After this, as the mercury continues to rise above 5C, the clouds will return — but there will be sunny intervals throughout the remainder of the morning and afternoon.

Temperatures will peak at 9C at around 2pm, after which they will fall gradually to a low of 1C by midnight.

Overnight, things will get even chillier as the skies clear up once again, with the mercury dropping to -1C.
