Glasgow weather: Exact time sun will come out in city on Friday

After a week of poor weather and yellow warnings from the Met Office, skies in Glasgow are set to be bright and clear on Friday.

The snow that the forecaster has predicted on Thursday will peter out by around 2pm, turning to rain as temperatures rise slightly.

Things will remain cold in the city this evening and overnight, however, with the mercury hanging at around 3 degrees Celsius into Friday.

The clouds over the city will clear by 3am, and will remain clear across Friday morning and much of the afternoon.

According to the Met Office, it will be "a mainly dry day with some long sunny spells" but "cloudier later with perhaps a little rain in Argyll in the evening".

The sun will be out in full force by around 8am, and temperatures will begin to rise at this point up to a peak of 8C at 2pm.

After this, clouds will begin to reappear and will cloak the city by 3pm, and will hang around for the remainder of the day.

This weekend looks to be predominantly cloudy, with wet spells expected between 6am and midday on Sunday.

However it will be noticeably warmer than it has been for much of the week, with temperatures across Saturday and Sunday hovering just below 10C.
