We think it would be fair to say that Glasgow has not seen the sunny weather we thought we would this week now that we have reached the Easter holidays.
And it feels like forever ago since we were reaching highs of almost 20C.
But now that spring has now officially sprung, it won't be long before we reach summer and the longer days get brighter - or we can at least hope that this is the case.

Sadly though we may have to wait a while for the better weather as there is nothing but rain and cloud set for the rest of the week.
Tonight lows of just -2C is predicted for the city and lows of 0C are set for tomorrow (April 8).
There is a yellow weather warning that has just been put in place by the Met Office for Ice however this is set to just affect areas such as Aberdeen, Inverness, Fort William and Stornoway.
Glasgow thankfully remains unaffected.

This Evening and Tonight:
A few showers around at first this evening but dying out inland to leave a dry clear and cold night with a slight frost developing. A few scattered showers continuing overnight across the Hebrides. Minimum temperature -1 °C.
Friday:
A mostly dry morning with some sunny spells, a few coastal showers across the isles. Scattered showers develop more widely in the afternoon. Another clear night with a frost. Maximum temperature 10 °C.
Outlook for Saturday to Monday:
Sunny intervals and isolated showers on Saturday and Sunday, with lighter winds. Some night frosts. Mostly dry on Monday but rain arriving later.
