Glasgow weather: City to bake in highs of 15C with no rain forecast

It's safe to say that we all miss the glorious weather we had back in late-March, where we saw temperatures suddenly soar to nearly 20C.

Mother's Day was one of those days where it was 17C yet it felt a lot more with people rushing to the park as well as the shops to buy BBQ essentials.

Sadly this stopped and the rain unsurprisingly came pouring down - but according to forecasters the weather is set to change for the better and we could see the same happen again.

Both the Met Office and BBC Weather predict that Saturday (April 23) and Sunday will see highs of 15C.

On Saturday temperatures are expected to peak between 12pm and 5pm whilst the following day, it should get noticeably warmer from 2pm until 6pm.

However as temperatures rise, so too has the pollen count with the Met Office issuing a 'moderate' level alert. Tree pollen currently in the Strathclyde area - covering Glasgow- includes ash and birch whilst the spores include pleospora.

So with it looking like a good week ahead for Glasgow weather wise, what else can we expect?

Glasgow's five day weather forecast according to the Met Office

Today

Overnight low cloud around Glasgow and over Lanarkshire gradually burning off through the morning. Otherwise it will be dry with some good spells of warm sunshine. Maximum temperature 17 °C.

Tonight

Saturday

Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday

Mostly dry with variable amounts of cloud and some sunny periods. Chance of an overnight frost in the north.
