Glasgow weather: City set for week of snow with freezing -4C temperatures

Glasgow's heatwave would appear to well and truly over as the city gears up to feel chilling temperatures of -4C next week.

According to Apple's Weather app this morning, Glaswegians should be getting ready to bring back out their winter coats as snowfall is forecast for four days out of seven from Monday April 4.

Thursday 7, Friday 8, Saturday 9 and Sunday April 10 are all expected to see snow in Glasgow reports the Apple weather application, with Thursday and Friday to freeze over with lows of -4C.

Apple Weather forecasts Monday 4 April to be mild in the city, with highs of 12 degrees before the mercury plunges later in the week.

However, the Met Office doesn't agree with Apple's forecast, with Thursday currently forecast as "cloudy changing to light showers in the evening".

Their overall forecast for Strathclyde next week reads: "Dry start to Sunday, but turning milder and unsettled from later Sunday with rain turning persistent. Turning colder with wintery showers later on Tuesday."

BBC Weather's forecast for next week meanwhile paints a different story: "Monday will be rather unsettled and breezy, with cloudy skies and outbreaks of rain moving in. Turning milder. Dull and damp on Tuesday, with spells of light rain. The rain may turn heavy for some in the afternoon."

Either way, don't expect any warm spells from Monday!
