Glasgow weather: City set for sunny weekend and highs of 19C

Glasgow is set for a pretty dreich week with cloud and rain set to hit the city over the next few days.

However this is thankfully set to pick up with near 20C predicted this weekend.

According to weather forecasters at the BBC, Glasgow is set to see highs of 19C on May 15 (Sunday).

On this day, temperatures will peak between 2pm and 6pm with the sun set to stay out all day from 8am until 6pm.

Whilst Sunday is set to be a glorious day, Saturday (May 14) isn't looking as good with cloud set for the majority of the day and a short sunny interval between 4pm and 6pm.

This Evening and Tonight

A few heavier showers this evening, however they will be moving through quite quickly. Then dry with clear spells for much of the night, although further showers after dawn. Minimum temperature 8 °C.

Tuesday

Much brighter with sunny spells and scattered showers. The showers will be most frequent over Argyll but passing by quickly. Fresh southwesterly winds. Maximum temperature 14 °C.

Outlook for Wednesday to Friday

Bright spells and further showers, these most frequent and heavy at times over Argyll. Showers becoming fewer and lighter by Friday. Feeling quite fresh with gusty winds at times.
