Glasgow weather: Another warning for heavy rain and flooding issued for this weekend

A weather warning for heavy rainfall and potential flooding has been issued by the Met Office for Glasgow this weekend.

The yellow alert covers the whole central belt, as well as much of the Borders and northern England.

It’s in place from 9am tomorrow (Saturday) until 3pm Sunday - which means your whole weekend could be called on account of rain.

The Met Office weather warning reads: “Heavy rainfall may lead to flooding in a few places and travel disruption.

“Where flooding occurs, there is a slight chance of delays or cancellations to train and bus services.

“Spray and flooding could lead to difficult driving conditions and some road closures.”

Temperatures might remain slightly muggy throughout, with a maximum temperature of 20C forecast for Saturday - but the prediction so far is for rain and more rain, so remember those umbrellas if you’re heading out this weekend.
