It's no surprise for us to hear that Glasgow has just been named one of the world's friendliest cities.
Global travel site Big 7 Travel has released the official list for their annual global search, with Scotland's biggest beating areas well known for their friendly folks including Sydney and Cork.
Us Glaswegians are famous across the globe for our banging banter, wit and welcoming nature to strangers, and we've been ranked 10th in the 50 Friendliest Cities in the World 2019 chart as a result.
We're also the only Scottish city to make the top ten.
With the survey based on first impressions at port of entry (like airports), local attitudes towards tourists, openness of strangers and "general friendliness", the top spot went to the Canadians, with Vancouver taking the crown, while the friendly folks in Kuala Lumper,Malaysia, took second.
Big 7 say: "The word ‘friendly’ might not instantly come to mind when you think of some of the busiest cities in the world, but with all those people comes a lot of good. We asked our social audience of 1.5 million people “where you would find the friendliest city in the world?”
"From how easy the city is to navigate or strangers helping you find your way when that pesky roaming data doesn’t work to making new best friends in a local bar, these are the cities across the globe where you’ll be made to feel the made welcome."
Bruges was voted third, fourth was Taipei in Taiwan and sixth was Dublin, Ireland.
