Glasgow vegan cafe forced to close for 'foreseeable future' as lease ends

A popular vegan Glasgow cafe has announced it will be closing its doors for the "foreseeable future".

Pan-Asian restaurant Puti Vegan Cafe, located in the city centre, said it was forced to close after their lease ended, and their landlord did not offer the option to renew it.

The team shared the sad news on social media, confirming their final business day before their closure is Wednesday, March 30.

In a statement shared on Facebook, they said: "With great sadness, Puti will be closing its doors for the foreseeable future.

"This is due to the ending of our lease where renewing was not an option given by the landlord. We’ve managed to build up a big family from nothing and it’s a big thanks to you all. We’re truly gutted but any future updates, we will be posting on Facebook and Instagram.

"From every staff [member] at Puti, we thank you all, our Puti Family for the constant support throughout the years and hopefully we’re able to see as many faces as possible before our door finally closes."
