A Glaswegian TV travel presenter has made history by becoming the first blind contestant to compete on BBC cookery programme Masterchef.
Inspirational Amar Latif wowed audiences last night during his appearance on Celebrity Masterchef, impressing judges John Torode and Gregg Wallace with his cookery skills.
The 45-year-old, who lives in Leeds, lost 95% of his sight by the age of 18 due to an incurable eye condition.
Amar became known to millions through his appearance on BBC2 reality series Beyond Boundaries, which saw him take part in a jungle expedition across Central America.

And he runs Traveleyes, the world’s first commercial tour operator to specialise in holidays for blind as well as sighted travellers.
Now he has been labelled as the new susperstar of the TV kitchen with his appearance on Celebrity Masterchef.
In last night's first heat, he went up against Jeff Brazier, Lady Leshurr, Gethin Jones and Felicity Montagu in the kitchen, before cooking lunch for a crowd at glitzy London restaurant Mortimer House.
Fingers crossed for him for the rest of the competition.
As we say here in Glasgow, Gaun Yersel' Amar!
