THOUSANDS of people have taken part in an annual parade through the streets of Glasgow in celebration of the city and its surrounding suburbs' LGBTQ+ communities.
Glasgow Pride marked its 25th organised march on Saturday with rainbow-clad revellers lining the streets to commemorate 30 years of Pride in the city.
From its first organised march in June 1996 as a protest for LGBTQ+ rights, the annual event has blossomed over the decades but still echoes calls from its founding year of inclusion, respect and freedom to express themselves for who they are.
This year's parade began at Glasgow Green, then marched along the Clyde into the city, with thousands of people dancing to music along the route before finishing back where it started at the Green.
Former first minister Nicola Sturgeon was seen marching in support of Time for Inclusive Education.
Multiple events are planned throughout the day, with Liberty X and Ultrabeat headlining the event.
Other acts include Honey G, Kelly Wilde and Just The Brave, and a Chappell Roan tribute act.
