TRAINS from Glasgow Central face delays and a main road is closed to traffic as Police Scotland tackle an ongoing incident on the Broomielaw.
According to National Rail, the incident was sparked by a "trespass incident" on Tuesday afternoon.
The road is closed to traffic between Oswald Street and Jamaica Street, while trains are subject to delays and cancellations.
ScotRail posted: "NEW: Services in the Glasgow Central area are subject to delays, alterations and cancellations due to reports of a person on the line. We are working closely with the emergency services and they have officers on site. We’ll keep you updated."
Meanwhile, National Rail said: "A trespass incident at Glasgow Central means some platforms at this station are closed.
"ScotRail services may be cancelled, revised or delayed by up to 15 minutes.
"Disruption is expected until 4.30."
A British Transport Police spokesperson added: "Officers were called to Glasgow Central railway station at around 1.30pm today (September 2) following reports of a person in a precarious position.
"The incident is ongoing, and officers are in attendance alongside other emergency services, working to bring the incident to a safe conclusion."
