Train passengers are facing rush hour disruption after a signal fault was detected near Westerton.
Network Rail say the issue is affecting services from Balloch - Airdrie, Dalmuir - Cumbernauld and Helensburgh/Milngavie - Edinburgh.
Engineers and a control team are on site and attempting to access the track.
Bosses say they are trying to cause the "least impact to services as possible" and are aiming to fix the issue before the busies travel period gets into full swing.
Delays and cancellations are expected until 5.30pm.
