Glasgow traffic: Police rush to M74 after crash at Raith Interchange junction 5

Police and emergency services have rushed to the M74 following a crash.

The collision took place shortly after 11.20AM on the M74 southbound lane between junction 5 and 6 near Bellshill.

The lane is now opened yet traffic is queueing so travellers should expect delays.

At present there is no reports of on injuries at the scene.

A Police Scotland spokesperson told Glasgow Live: "Around 11.20am on Friday, 2 July, police were called to a report of four vehicle road crash on the M74 southbound near Bellshill.

"Emergency services are in attendance and there are no reports of injuries at this time."
