Glasgow to play host to world's first drive-in Christmas panto this winter

The world's first drive-thru Christmas panto is coming to Glasgow as part of a UK tour during this year's festive period.

Horrible Histories are staging their own unique take on the festive season with Horrible Christmas, a social distanced car park panto live on stage from an as yet unknown outdoor location in the city.

The performance is being put on by the Birmingham Stage Company and is inspired by the series of Horrible Histories children's books by Terry Deary.

Horrible Histories actor/manager, Neal Foster, said: “We can’t wait to be back on stage in cities and towns that will be crying out for a Christmas show to entertain their families.

“As you’d expect from Horrible Histories, it’s not a traditional pantomime, but a journey through the story of Christmas in the company of the season’s most fabulous characters.

"It’s the perfect story for families this winter, as one young boy battles to save Christmas for the world in this hilarious, joyous and moving celebration.”

No dates have yet been confirmed for the Glasgow panto.

Tickets will be priced at £45 per car, with a £2.50 booking fee.
