Glasgow to Paris coach tickets on sale for under £50 via intercity service Flexibus

Glaswegians keen on a wee getaway to Paris now have a new excuse to do so - without stepping foot on a plane.

German intercity bus service, Flexibus, is now selling tickets between Glasgow and the city of love - famous for its boulevards, classy boutiques and cuisine.

A recent expansion in the UK saw Flexibus add a new line from Glasgow to Manchester, which includes stop-offs in Preston and Lancaster, and to London (Finchley Road).

An alternative London service (via Edinburgh to London Victoria station) now permits Glaswegians to book their bum on a seat from Scotland's biggest city to the French capital.

The 20-hour plus journey stops at Edinburgh, Newscastle, Sunderland, Leicester and London, before there is a requirement to transfer coaches to then make the journey to Paris via the ferry service from Dover to Calais.

A look at the Flexibus website shows tickets on sale next week between Glasgow and Paris priced between £42.98 and £55.98.

One to keep in mind perhaps for anyone looking to hit the continent without the stress of an airport.
