Glasgow to Paisley train chaos due to signalling problem at Crookston

Trains running to and from Paisley Canal this afternoon have been disrupted due to a signalling problem at Crookton.

Arrivals and departures from Glasgow Central are being affected, leading to delays on the service.

ScotRail advised: ""We have a signalling fault at Crookston caused by flooding which means we are having to reduce our trains services to/from Paisley Canal."

This is one of a series of problems that Scotrail have been facing today amid the treacherous weather conditions.

Earlier today Glasgow Live reported that damage to the overhead wires near the Exhibition Centre had caused disruption to Glasgow's low levels trains.

Commuters are also facing disruption across the central belt after flooding on the line between Glasgow and Edinburgh.

All services from Glasgow to Edinburgh via Helensburgh have been cancelled until further notice.

Take care out there, Glasgow!
