Glasgow is set for a period of around eight days of warmer weather, according to meteorologists.
Following the weekend, warm air will be coming over from the Atlantic as high pressure builds, bringing with it temperatures much more in keeping with Spring.
Glasgow will be a few days behind the south of England and will have to wait until around Wednesday for the showers and frosty mornings to take some time off.
However, from Wednesday 13 April, we're be able to enjoy temperatures of 14C, with peak sun-seeking time hitting around noon.
Thursday and Friday will see temperatures drop a little to 13C but the weather will be remaining dry all way through to Easter Sunday.
Sunday will see mostly clouds and a bit of sun for most of the afternoon out with temperatures expected to reach highs of 14/15C according to BBC weather.
The milder weather will continue into the following week with temperatures of 15C degrees expected for Monday.
The weather then returns to the Scottish norm with overcast skies and showers expected for the weekend of April 22.
