Glasgow teen, 16, disappears with man not known to family

Concerns are growing for the whereabouts of Glasgow teen last seen with a man that her family is unfamiliar with.

Mia Russell, 16, was last spotted at around 8pm yesterday in Loanfoot Avenue, Knightswood.

Officers are now appealing for information in tracking down the youngster, who was reported her missing when she failed to return home last night.

Mia is white, around 5 ft 3 inches in height, with a slim build and long brown hair, wearing a red jacket, a white top, jeans and white trainers.  She is also carrying a white handbag.

Police have said they are concerned for her wellbeing.

Extensive enquiries have been launched, with officers checking CCTV images from in and around the west end as well as speaking to Mia's family and friends for additional information.

Police are now appealing for help from the public to locate Mia.

Officers would also like to speak to any taxi drivers who may have been in the area of Knightswood and who may have picked up Mia and the man she was with.

Anyone that has seen Mia or has any  knowledge as to her whereabouts, is asked to call officers at Shettleston Police Station via 101, quoting incident number 3483 of 13 May 2019.
