Glasgow Subway worker reported over 'offensive' tweets

A Glasgow Subway worker has been reported over offensive comments made on Twitter.

SPT has confirmed that the employee has been reported to the company's HR department with "due process" now being followed.

In a statement following the incident, Glasgow Subway stressed that they "utterly condemn" racism, homophobia and sectarianism, adding that it breaches the company's code of conduct.

It reads: "We are aware of offensive tweets expressed by an employee. SPT utterly condemns all racist, homophobic & sectarian views.

"All staff are aware of our social media guidance, as part of our Code of Conduct. This matter has been reported to HR & due process will now be followed."
