A Subway station in Glasgow has been closed after a passenger became trapped between the train and the platform.
Emergency crews were called to the incident at Cowcaddens at 12pm on Tuesday, June 27. Three fire engines were scrambled to the scene before firefighters moved in to move the male casualty, who suffered minor injuries.
He was then rushed to hospital for treatment. The station currently remains closed.
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "At 12.00pm on Tuesday, 27 June, Operations Control mobilised three appliances to Cowcaddens Subway Station to assist in extricating a male casualty who had his leg trapped between the train and the platform.
“The casualty with minor injuries was transferred to hospital by the Scottish Ambulance Service."
A statement from Glasgow Subway Travel reads: "Cowcaddens Station is now closed to the public while emergency services deal with a passenger incident. Trains will not be stopping at the station, apologies for the inconvenience."
