Glasgow street sealed off as police probe 'suspicious' Knightswood death

Police have launched a death probe after a man was found seriously injured in Glasgow.

Officers were called to the Knightswood area of the city at around 10am where they found the man.

Sadly he was pronounced dead at the scene on Hermitage Avenue.

Pictures on social media show emergency services on the scene and part of the road cordoned off.

The cause of the injuries are not yet known, but police confirmed they are treating the death as "suspicious".

A post-mortem will take place to establish the exact cause.

A spokesperson for the force said: "At around 10am police were called to Hermitage Avenue in the Knightswood area to reports of a man with serious injuries.

"He was pronounced dead at the scene.

"A post-mortem will take place to establish the cause of the death, which police are currently treating as suspicious.

"A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal."
