Glasgow street locked down by police as injured man rushed to hospital

A police investigation has been launched after a man was found injured on a Glasgow street.

The 35-year-old was discovered on Inveresk Street in the Greenfield area of the city at around 2pm on Tuesday, March 30.

He was rushed to Glasgow Royal Infirmary for treatment however his condition is unknown.

A massive police cordon has been put in place while officers carry out enquiries in the local area.

Police Scotland confirmed to Glasgow Live that they are trying to establish how the man became injured.

A force spokesperson said: “About 2.10pm today, Tuesday, 30 March, 2021, a 35-year-old man was found injured in Inveresk Street in Glasgow.

"He has been taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary where he is currently being treated for his injuries.

"Enquiries into the matter are at an early stage.”
