A tree has crashed down on a Cathcart street lined with parked cars in the south side of Glasgow.
Local residents say the dangerous incident happened on Rannoch Street at around 4pm this afternoon after the tree had been blown over by the wind.
An eyewitness told Glasgow Live the tree has landed on one of the parked cars, but it's not known if any damage has been caused.
Pictures sent to us show the sizeable tree, which sits in the central garden area of the street, has taken up the entire width of the road since its collapse, blocking traffic and local bus services in the area.
There's no reports of any injuries.
Earlier, the city experienced wind gusts of over 30mph, with further windy weather forecast tomorrow.
Police Scotland advised they were aware of the incident, however it's being dealt with by their partner agencies.
A Glasgow City Council spokesman said: “We received a report of a fallen tree across Rannoch St following a period of high winds yesterday.
“Members of our arboreal team attended and were able to clear the debris, allowing the road to reopen.
“Depending on factors such as age, health and ground conditions, any tree may be susceptible to damage during times of high winds.”
