Glasgow may have its hopes for a white Christmas dashed as the city's long range forecast shows that temperatures are set to warm up.
The last time snow fell in the UK on Christmas day was back in 2015 when the whole of the country saw a wide spread blanket of the white snow lie for the festive period.
However, it's beginning to look like 2021 may not experience a white Christmas as milder weather is set to hit the city in the run up to the big day.
BBC Weather's forecast for the remainder of this week shows that despite a chilly morning on Saturday, the daytime will see much milder temperatures, with conditions set to continue into next week.

Monday will dry up but warm breezes are expected and temperatures will rise to 11C on Thursday 16 December.
Snow is expected to fall across Scotland, collecting mainly in the highlands, on the evening of Thursday 23 December through to Christmas Eve on Friday.
However, Wednesday 22 December is forecast as having lows of 4C and highs of 7C - so it's worth checking back in the coming days to see if it changes as we edge closer to Christmas.
