Glasgow set for ABBA-themed festive bingo nights with 'cheesy singalongs' and prizes

Calling all Dancing Queens - a popular Glasgow bingo night is set to host ABBA-themed evenings over the festive period, promising shows ‘stuffed like a Christmas stocking’.

Bongo’s Bingo has announced the theme for its run of festive shows in Glasgow - The Winner Takes It All. Since launching in 2015 the events have only grown in popularity, drawing in crowds across the UK and the world.

This year, they’re pulling out ‘every stop possible’ for the festive season. The Glasgow events will see singalongs, prizes, and ‘lashings of merriment’.

Speaking about the upcoming events, Jonny Bongo said: “Christmas is my favourite time of the year and we are going national with The Winner Takes It All after launching it in Liverpool last Christmas.

“We are making our shows as good as we possibly can, featuring all of the usual Bongo’s Bingo antics and a big fat dollop of Christmas love from us too. Glasgow will be bouncing with these Christmas party dates at The Winner Takes It All.”

Currently taking place in almost 50 locations across the world, Bongo’s Bingo combines the nostalgia of bingo with an evening of the excitement of live entertainment. Prizes have been known to range from Henry Hoovers to karaoke machines.

Describing the festive events on their website, Bongo’s Bingo said: “Not only does the winner take it all this year, as even the losers will be treated to an ABBA extravaganza to sink their teeth into.

“Dig out your dancing shoes and get your disco pants on. The Bongo’s Bingo that we all love will be glittered with all of the ABBA classics, including some amazing themed prizes.”

The Winner Takes It All will see revelers enjoy not only bingo, but dance-offs, cheesy singalongs, and a rave. Early bird tickets are priced at £10, general release at £12, and final release sitting at £14 - each with a £3 booking fee.

Each night, doors will open at 6pm with the last entry at 7.30pm. The first game of bingo begins at 8pm.

The dates in Glasgow at SWG3 are December 1, 2, 8, 10, 14, 15, 19, 20, 21, 22, 27, 28, 29 30 - and tickets are available here.
