Glasgow search ongoing for Rutherglen youngster who disappeared from home at 2am this morning

Police are asking for the help of the public to trace a 14-year-old boy reported missing from the Rutherglen area.

Billy Lickrish was last seen around 2am on Thursday morning at his home address in Drumreoch Place.

He is described as around 5ft 2ins, of medium build with short, curly, blonde hair. When last seen he was wearing a dark grey hoodie, a Rangers football club top, black joggers and grey trainers.

Police say concerns are growing for Billy's welfare, as he has not been in touch with his family for some time.

Sergeant Eddie Cairns said: “Billy has been missing before but he has not been in touch with his family for some time and concerns are growing. I am asking anyone who has seen Billy or who might know where he is to get in touch with us.”

Anyone who can help should call Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 0183 of Wednesday, 6 April.
