The countdown to Christmas is getting underway at Glasgow Science Centre as it gears up to host its next Science Lates event.
Taking place on Friday, 29 November, the four and a half hour long event will see the popular visitor attraction transform into a Winter Wonderland filled with Christmas crafts and fun frolics to get you in the festive mood.
No children are allowed for this one of a kind after-hours festive evening, where there will be a licensed bar, chocolate-dipped treats, mulled wine and the NHS Glasgow Hospital staff choir performing classic Christmas songs.
The science centre event will also include an indoor market from Urban Market Glasgow, providing an opportunity to buy gifts from artists and independent retailers in cosy surroundings.
Chris Banks, cultural events coordinator at Glasgow Science Centre, said: “Winter Wonderland offers a great night out for friends, families and co-workers to enjoy everything Glasgow Science Centre has to offer, but without children and with a festive twist.
“The live science and planetarium shows will explain the science behind Christmas- such as discovering how Santa makes it around the world in one night and the physics needed to enable reindeer to fly.
“It’s the perfect opportunity to kick-start Christmas in Glasgow where there’ll be workshops on cocktail making and a green-screen lounge area where people are welcome to take an awkward family photo and share it with family and friends.”
