Three top Glasgow food spots are battling to be named the Best Indian restaurant in Scotland, after being shortlisted as finalists for this year's Food Awards Scotland.

Dozens of different eateries from throughout the country have been nominated across a variety of different categories, with restaurant owners due to gather at a glitzy awards ceremony at Glasgow's Marriott Hotel on September 19.

The Food Awards Scotland 2022 aims to 'celebrate the best in the food industry; from the excellent restaurants, chefs and servers, to the specialists and suppliers'.

Joining them is another Merchant City Indian, Dakhin, which regularly features in the 'Best of' Glasgow Indian restaurants list.

Completing the trio is nearby Obsession of India, which has previously been rated the city's number one Indian restaurant according to TripAdvisor reviews.

They're competing for the Scotland-wide award alongside seven other eateries, including one in Renfrew, The Green Gates Indian restaurant.
