Glasgow's newest gastropub The Loveable Rogue has just launched in the city's west end.
Situated on Great Western Road, on the former site of the Hebridean, the new project from Chef Joe Lazzerini and his partner Amalia Colaluca is described as a stylish new restaurant where you can grab a pint and a bite to eat.
The pair say their new family-friendly venture will serve up "home cooked, comfort food" made using quality ingredients and local produce in a stylish and relaxed bar and restaurant setting.
The menu at the restaurant will include the likes of Scotch Egg with Chorizo; Pork with Black Pudding; Chicken and Mushroom Pie and a traditional, Sunday afternoon Beef roasts which Joe describes as 'the King' of the weekend menu.
As well as new sharing boards including Charcuterie and Cote De Boeuf, the pub restaurant offering a wide range of seafood with dishes including Octopus, Lobster Mac ‘n’ Cheese, Halibut, and Scallops.
The vegetarian dishes on offer include Cauliflower and Smoked Cheese, and Hand Cut Strozzapreti, Smoked Ricotta and Celeriac.
Normally a 60-cover restaurant, Head chef Joe explained that with covid-19 restrictions, the venue will open with a reduced capacity of 48, he said:"We are offering hearty, unfussy and delicious food that everyone can tuck into.
"The all day menu will introduce a very different flavour profile for our guests and will offer a welcoming atmosphere and homely feel - a place that needs no pretence to go along at any time of the day and enjoy!"
Co-owner Amalia Colaluca added: “For us a good pub offers more than just the drinks available at the bar - its the small touches, the little things and the care put into everything that we believe will help us stand out.
