More than 11,000 people are wanted by cops in Scotland.
The figure was revealed by Police Scotland, and include some the Glasgow's most high profile cases.
Convicted rapist Rezgar Zengana is among them.
He failed to appear for sentencing at Glasgow High Court in June 2008 following his conviction for raping a 25-year-old after picking her up in a fake private hire cab.
He is currently believed to be in the Netherlands or Turkey.
And a warrant was issued for Glasgow thug Jonathan Kelly when he failed to comply with the terms of his licence after being released from prison in 2014.
Derek Ferguson is wanted for in connection with the murder of Thomas Cameron at the Auchinairn Tavern, Bishopbriggs in June 2007.
Police believe he could be in Spain, the Netherlands or Ireland.
And Israr Ali is also wanted in connection with murder, following the death of Waqar Shah at his flat on Pollokshaws Road, Shawlands in April 2010.
It is believed he may be in France or Pakistan.
The figures were released following a freedom of information (FOI) request, explaining that on May 25 this year there were 11,824 people circulated as as wanted on the Police National Computer (PNC) by Police Scotland.
The force explained that they are not all related to recent crimes, with some outstanding warrants issued many years ago.
The also point out that warrants are issued for a number of offences, including failure of an accused, or a witness, to appear in court or for an offender to pay a fine.
They also include range of different types of legal warrant issued by the courts in Scotland including apprehension, means enquiry and extract conviction warrants.
And in their response to the FOI, police explain: "Warrants are not only issued by Scottish courts for offenders believed to be in the UK and offenders who have fled the UK, but also relates to persons wanted across a number of national and international jurisdictions and are believed to be resident or visiting in Scotland."
And they point out: "It is important to note locating and tracing wanted persons is a priority for Police Scotland.
"Those who pose the greatest risk of threat and harm are prioritised, in relation to both resources and investigative measures, in an effort to locate them.
"Where it is confirmed that wanted persons have fled the country or are in custody abroad awaiting extradition, they remain listed as wanted on the PNC until they are brought into custody in Scotland."
