If there was one thing that let Glasgow flourish in the post-war era, it was our abundance of dancehalls.
With more than a dozen venues dotted around the town, there was certainly no shortage of choice. In fact, back in the 1950s, Glasgow had more dancehalls than anywhere outside of London.
They were places where couples could meet and cavort the night away - often leading to romances that would stand the test of time.

As a result, countless marriages were forged in the dancehalls of Glasgow. Just think about it, without these legendary venues, you and I might not even be here.
