Disney’s Bedknobs and Broomsticks is to make its Scottish stage premiere at the King’s Theatre in Glasgow next year.
The new musical based on the Academy Award-winning movie will be directed by Glasgow based theatre-makers Candice Edmunds and Jamie Harrison.
The stage show comes to Glasgow for a run of eight performances between November 2 and 7 next year as part of a UK tour following its world premiere in Newcastle in August.
Bedknobs and Broomsticks will feature original songs by the legendary Sherman Brothers (Mary Poppins, The Jungle Book, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang), including Portobello Road, The Age Of Not Believing, The Beautiful Briny and new music and lyrics by Neil Bartram.
Casting for the production will be announced at a later date.
