Glasgow's Jamie Genevieve gives 38 week update as she prepares to give birth

Glasgow businesswoman Jamie Genevieve has updated her followers on her pregnancy with the new mum to be expecting her first child very soon.

Taking to Instagram, the make-up influencer, who owns brand Vieve, posted a picture of her showing off her gorgeous baby bump with the caption "38/40" and a white love heart.

She also posted a similar photo with her husband's hands, Jack, around her bump with the caption reading: "We can’t wait to meet you wee girl x."

The influencer also uploaded a story saying: "I feel so lucky to feel good enough to still be working...but I am very much looking forward to putting my feet up for a week before baby girl gets here (if she doesn't arrive early!)."

As well as updating her fans on how her pregnancy is getting on, she also compared herself to Homer Simpson.

Posing in an oversized baggy yellow shirt in her previous story upload, the 29-year-old captioned her story "same same" as she poked fun at her huge bump and outfit choice.

It comes as the founder and CEO said that after the birth of her first child she will turn her placenta into pills.

Talking during her latest YouTube video as part of a Q&A as she applied her make-up, the influencer said that her husband, Jack, is a tad "freaked out" over the idea.

During her video uploaded to her channel on April 17, the successful business owner spoke about her plans for a water birth explaining: "One thing that I think is absolutely wild that I am doing is - and I can't believe I am doing it but I am because, why not? And Jack is freaked out by it but I am doing placenta encapsulation.

"I am getting it made into tablets to take and I honestly don't know how I feel about it myself, but I am doing it because it can't hurt and that's going to make everyone think I am nuts but I am quite excited about it. Everything I've read about it and everything that I have been told about it is pretty good."
