Glasgow’s Girls' Day Out returning to SEC this weekend

Glasgow’s SEC is set to be transformed this weekend, into the ultimate Christmas shopping and festive fun arena. From November 11 to 13, the Girls' Day Out will be taking over the campus for an array of different experiences and activities.

If you’re looking to shop, the weekend makes for the ultimate ‘stress-free’ destination with everyone's favourite high street brands and independent retailers in one spot - whether you’re getting the Christmas shop done early, or just picking up a treat for yourself.

Elsewhere, you can enjoy live singers - or dance the day away at the silent disco. If you’re looking for something a bit more serious, you can visit the manifestation showcase - Unlock The Key.

Psychic and medium to the stars, Margaret Solis, will be sharing her gifts before Scotland’s very own drag superstar Lawrence Chaney takes to the stage. With three Christmas-themed bars and a brand new Bingo area, there is lots for guests to enjoy.

If you’re looking for some glam tips, top stylists will be available to lend a hand with the best beauty brands. After that, you can head to the sustainable fashion show.

If you’re interested in tickets, there are several different types available. VIP tickets include entry to the show, one festive cocktail and a VIP goody bag.

You’ll have a dedicated seating area that you can make use of all day as well as an allocated slot for canapes and prosecco. The VIP ticket also includes entrance to the drag performances.

If VIP isn’t your thing, you can get individual tickets to the drag acts, for Margaret Solis or for the motivational speech. Lawrence Chaney will be joined by RuPaul’s Drag Race UK co-star Ellie Diamond, while Margaret Solis will be performing her one-woman show where you can witness her make predictions firsthand.

On November 11, the event will be running from midday until 8pm - while the other two days of the weekend will see the centre open from 10am until 5pm. You can find out more and get your tickets here.
