Glasgow's Foreplay Golf to close in February for exciting new transformation

A popular venue that offers a mix of competitive crazy golf, street food, cocktails and entertainment is offering a last chance to enjoy its current concept before it closes for a transformation.

The team behind adults-only crazy golf venue, Fore Play Crazy Golf, have announced it is set for a refurb to create a new concept for the site that people "will love".

Speaking about the announcement, the firm added that they will be giving people time to enjoy Fore Play in its current form with the final day for golf bookings pencilled in as February 18. They stated that their latest idea will be "revealed in the coming weeks", with the venue’s new look set to represent "another first for Scotland from the Fore Play team".

Fore Play has welcomed over 200,000 putting punters since it first swung into action in Glasgow in 2018, with hundreds of five-star reviews across, Google TripAdvisor, Facebook and more.

People looking to enjoy it before it closes can book via the Fore Play website.

Co-owner of Fore Play Crazy Golf, Craig Neilson, stated that he will be transforming the space into a brand-new experience for Glasgow and Scotland to enjoy, he said: “Nobody would argue that Glasgow knows how to enjoy itself, and that’s certainly been our experience over the last four years since we opened Fore Play.

"We’ve had the best time entertaining our guests, many who have travelled far and wide to play the course – thank you.

“We’ve taken all we’ve learned from Fore Play and applied it to our new concept, the details of which we can’t wait to share.

"Some elements will feel very familiar. We’ll still have amazing food, cocktails, and that all-important competitive element. The rest is secret for now, but trust us, you’re going to love it.”

With Fore Play’s Edinburgh experience continuing to operate at Picardy Place, the Glasgow venue will close after midnight on 18 February 2023 to start the refurbishment.
