Glasgow's new covid vaccination centres have opened today as the vaccine programme moves onto the next stage.
There are five Covid-19 vaccination centres across the city which will be run by appointment only. The vaccination centres are operated by NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde with appointments issued by the NHS.
As well as the mass vaccination centre at NHS Louisa Jordan, Glasgow Club Donald Dewar, Castlemilk and Easterhouse and Barmulloch Community Centre will be used for the rollout.
From today, people aged 70 and over will get the vaccine in a range of settings including community centres and mass vaccination sites.
Those aged 70-79 and the clinically extremely vulnerable – including over-16s on the shielding list – started receiving their invitations on January 25 and subject to supplies, will have received their first dose by mid-February.
Letters will start going out this week across Greater Glasgow and Clyde to those aged between 65 and 69 - the next group on the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation priority list.
The public is asked only to attend at a vaccination centre if they have an appointment. Face coverings must be worn and social distancing must be observed.
Try to arrive no more than 10 minutes before your appointment, bring your appointment letter with you and dress for Glasgow's weather.
