Glasgow's first cashless pizza joint is opening next month

Glasgow's first cashless pizzeria is set to open next month...  bringing a slice of sourdough action to the city.

Rockvilla pizza is located at the junction of St Georges Road, Possil Road and Garscube road.

The area was historically known as Rockvilla, and the new eatery will pay tribute when it launches from the Tower building in early June.

They'll be serving up 24-hour proofed hybrid sourdough pizza starting from as cheap as £4.50 – with the savings on cash handling and tills passed on to foodies.

Jim McLaughlin is behind the venture.

He opened Vespbar in Drury Street in 2011 and managed its transition to Yesbar – famous for its Pizza Al Metro (that's pizza by the metre, FYI) - in 2014.

Creating the menu is Sean Toner of Dough Man's Land, a street food pop-up pizza truck based in the city – who has previously worked in Firebird, Broadcast and Paperinos.

We can't wait to try it! Debit cards at the ready...
