Glasgow's Drygate Brewery launches new Tunnock's Teacakes -inspired beer

Glasgow's Drygate Brewery has launched a new beer inspired by one of Scotland's favourite teatime treats - Tunnock's Teacakes.

The east end brewery, which released a special 'Big Banana Feet' banana milkshake IPA back in August in tribute to Billy Connolly, has named the new beer 'Biscuit Tin'.

The 7.5% chocolate mallow stout is described by Drygate as "a luxurious milk stout inspired by (but definitely not endorsed by, or affiliated with) Tunnock's Chocolate Mallow Teacakes".

Deep, opaque black with a tan head, the 'Biscuit Tin' beer offers up "intense aromas of chocolate and marshmallow, layered with vanilla and muscovado" as well as "a blast of sweet, sticky marshmallow flavour, rounded out with cacao nibs and biscuity malts".

As part of a new biscuit-based series for Drygate, we can't wait to see what they come up with next!

We're sure this one will go down well with fans of the Teacakes.

It is available in 330ml bottles from their website HERE
